Genocide is genocide

What we see now is a blatant land grab.

To the editor:

Regarding the current Israeli actions in Gaza, what part is not genocide — the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group? Israel has long passed retaliation for the horrific actions of Hamas and unfortunate failure in their military goal of destroying Hamas in Gaza.

What we see now is a blatant land grab, complete destruction of every standing structure, and now the starvation of men, women, and sadly children. To shoot and kill people when they seek food to avoid starvation and to attack aid ships and trucks are not the actions of the State of Israel I had supported for so many decades.  We only have to look at our country to see what is and may become possible when leadership goes amuck.
