“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
Tom Stephenson, author of “The Warbler Guide” and several birding apps, will present an overview of the kinds of vocalizations that birds make, how they are acquired and how the song-learning process unfolds.
Other highlights of the High Mud Comedy Festival include comedic songstress Nellie McKay; "Sasheer Zamata Party Time!"; and a satire-writing workshop with Reductress.
