“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
In a letter to the editor the signatories write: "The departure [of 40 works of art from the Berkshire Museum] will bring about something so much more priceless than what they're worth — enriched experiences for a changing community."
Once these Massachusetts treasures hit the auction block they will be gone forever, most likely landing in private collections abroad, if recent sales of this magnitude are any guide.
