“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
Always one to give back to the community, he gave of his time as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army and a love of Broadway was fulfilled as a volunteer usher in many theatres throughout the Berkshires.
In her youth she was a champion horseback rider winning many trophies on her horse, Smokey. Her participation in the Tri-State CB Radio Club earned her the nickname “Junebug” which stayed with her for the rest of her life.
