“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
Nw York Times reporter Joseph Berger was born in Russia in 1945, spent the postwar years in displaced persons camps in Germany and, after immigrating to the U.S., grew up in Manhattan and the Bronx.
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, members of the Stockbridge community who have donated items to the Stockbridge Library's Museum & Archives will be present to chat with visitors about their contributions to the collection, the town, and its history.
