“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
Author, and Pulitzer Prize-winning historian and Columbia University DeWitt Clinton Professor of History Eric Foner will deliver the 22nd annual W.E.B. Du Bois Lecture at Bard College at Simon’s Rock Thursday, April 12, at 7 p.m.
"Remarkable Women of New England" also includes the story of Anna Dix Orton Bingham, the Widow Bingham who fought to become the first woman to have a tavern license in Berkshire County on the site of the present-day Red Lion Inn.
