“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
At 33, Kate Feuer Burke represents a much-desired but disappearing demographic in town: a young professional with children who brings new vision and energy to the board.
Betty toured with the Pro Musica throughout the United States and Europe for seven years. In 1967, her family transitioned to the Berkshires where she refocused her life on being a mother and teacher. She taught first and second grades at the former Dewey and Housatonic schools for a number of years before devoting her time to teaching voice at Bard College at Simon’s Rock for nearly 20 years.
