“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
Chesterwood will begin its 2018 season Saturday, May 26, at 9 a.m. with a ribbon cutting and hike to celebrate the restoration of its historic Ledges Trail, designed by Daniel Chester French.
The goal of the Local Farmer Awards is to strengthen farmers’ abilities to compete in the marketplace so that the region benefits from the environmental, health, and economic advantages of local farming.
