“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
In his letter to the editor, Ed Abrahams, president of the Friends of the Great Barrington Libraries, writes: “Our new film series, called First Saturday Documentaries For Everyone, will be shown at the Claire Teague Senior Center.”
Hollywood films in the festival are strategically created, with an eye on the Oscars and the box office; what satisfies my soul are films where imagination needs no help from hi-tech, 3D or any other mechanical source.
