“Flannery” uses the voices of contemporary writers like Hilton Als, Alice Walker, Mary Karr and Mary Gordon; actors like Tommy Lee Jones; her publisher Robert Giroux; and relatives and close friends, to perceptively comment on O’Connor’s art and life.
