“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
The project is just one in a series of efforts by Greenagers to teach teenagers and families sustainable farming practices and how to grow their own food.
Kenver’s is located in an iconic building that dates back to 1731 and once served as a stagecoach stop. Its beautiful marble floors, high ceilings, and original beams captured Vermeulen’s fancy.
