“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
Tickets to the lecture include full admission to the Berkshire Botanical Garden. This is a fundraising event for the Egremont Garden Club’s college scholarship fund.
Using photos of the 19th-century mills and factories, historian John Dickson will reveal the story of the people who harnessed the power of streams and rivers to make a living for their families.
The community garden will be available to Egremont residents who are interested in growing their own food, and special efforts will be made include lower-income families.
To be in the Rogue Angel Theatre parade in Great Barrington, meet at 10 a.m. at the bandstand behind Town Hall on Saturday, July 18. Bring flamboyant and wild costumes and props, and instruments.
