“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
Thousands of students nationwide are protesting the epidemic of school shootings. Gun violence in schools and the slaughter of school children has become a weekly affair. So far in 2018 there have been 20 school shootings, an average of 1.25 per week.
The screening of "Outermost Radio" will be co-sponsored by Great Barrington’s community radio station WBCR, which is currently undergoing reconstruction and renewal and seeking studio space from which to resume live broadcasts.
