“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
Thinking about all of the good that would have been done and the lives saved if Stumo had been given a chance to continue her work ultimately fueled the discussion about how to build her legacy.
Work will include milling and removal of existing pavement, and installation base and top courses of pavement. Portions of the streets may be closed to traffic temporarily, with police officers directing traffic when necessary.
