“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
The victim's name is Joseph Race, whom his landlord and friend, Christopher Jordano, described as a "tough guy." After being shot in the abdomen, he fought off his attacker and called 911.

The event was determined to be an isolated matter and was no threat to the general public, but police requested that anyone with information about the incident call the Sheffield Police Department at 413-229-8522.
