Great Mountain Forest to host Nature Writing Retreat at Historic Yale Camp in Falls Village, Conn., Aug. 7 to 9

“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.

In Lenox, no marching band for Memorial Day parades

The rigorous schedule of standardized testing was cited as preventing the Lenox Memorial Middle and High School Band from practicing, and therefore being unprepared for the parades. “I am sad, I’m disgusted, embarrassed for the town of Lenox.
