“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
The Kinneys had started a small gift-basket business some years back. They assembled baskets comprised of products made in the Berkshires or very nearby: to wit, Bola Granola; Harney Teas; and of course, Catherine's Chocolates. So they were no strangers to Sinico's business before they looked into buying it.
The Eagle Fund, in partnership with its sister endowment, Janet's Fund, recently awarded more than $54,000 in grants to programs benefiting students in the Southern Berkshire Regional School District.
