“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
Berkshire South Regional Community Center will host “UnTapped and Uncorked,” a beer- and wine-tasting fundraiser for its financial assistance programs, Friday, Aug. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m.
The project is just one in a series of efforts by Greenagers to teach teenagers and families sustainable farming practices and how to grow their own food.
For a month from mid-January to mid-February, Edge readers could dine at one of 15 participating restaurants, ask their servers for an entry form and send the completed form to the Edge.
