“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
The move toward recovery facilities is part of a broader plan by the administration of Gov. Charlie Baker to convert skilled nursing facilities into treatment centers for COVID-19 patients. The goal is to take the pressure off of nearby hospitals.
The Down County Social Club (DCSC) will present area performers in its March line-up of events, beginning with the acoustic ensemble Quiet in the Head on Thursday March 3.
