“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
Director Carey Perloff says the score carried “the ghostly sounds of everything—lust, memory, fear, desire.” That’s nice, but it can’t substitute for those emotions when there’s no drama on the stage.
I am thrilled with the newness of this play in Ghent, the excitement of discovery of new things I had not noticed the first time around. All of the participants should clap each other on the back and take personal credit for jobs well done in a play about jobbers who want things done right.
