“The retreat brings people together, builds community in the forest, gets participants outside and off their screens, and uses nature sustainably to heal and inspire minds and souls,” stated Great Mountain Forest Executive Director Michael Zafros. Retreat registration closes on July 30.
Described as “’Shark Tank’ without the teeth,” EforAll’s friendly, free event features a business showcase followed by pitches from six pre-selected contestants and two more who are added the night of the event.
The money authorized by the House will go toward safety provisions such as a new campus police cruiser, cameras, emergency software and surveillance equipment.
Visitors are invited to explore the history of African-Americans in the Berkshires through compelling, contemporary stories from today as recorded by leaders from the local African-American community and the NAACP Berkshire chapter.
In 2015, Pops Peterson debuted his “Reinventing Rockwell” photography series, which received an award from the Northeast Regional Conference on Fair Housing and Civil Rights and led to him being named the first artist in residence of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
