To the editor:
I am working to get out the vote for democracy, led by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. I want a democracy, not an autocracy or worse.
In 2000, third-party votes brought us the worst president before Donald Trump. Remember what happened in the presidential recount in Florida, when votes for the third-party candidate, Ralph Nader, deprived Al Gore of being elected president? Let’s remember that Nader’s votes also lost New Hampshire for Gore. Had Gore, who won the national popular vote, won New Hampshire, Florida’s votes would have been moot.
Look at the patterns and facts.
Look at what is right.
To quote Alan H. Green, “Listen to your inner voice.”
Vote for what represents hope for the environment, for the climate, for the homeless, the addicted, jobs, reproductive freedom, infrastructure. Vote for the freedom to worship as you choose, freedom from fear, freedom from hunger, and freedom of speech.
We need to defend our democracy.
Please join me: Vote Democrat at the ballot.
